The last two awards listed are perhaps the most prestigious as they are known as the industry鈥檚 鈥淥scars.鈥� At the AGC鈥檚 93rd Annual Convention at the Alliant Build America awards dinner, 51吃瓜 was presented with the 2012 Alliant Build America 鈥淪ilver Beam鈥� award for design-build and the overall 鈥淕rand Award 鈥� Project of the Year.鈥�
Mr. Lee Evey (former program manager for the Pentagon Renovation & Construction Office) delivered a presentation on the design-build delivery method utilized on the Pentagon. During his presentation, he explained how 鈥渄esign-build saves time and money and enhances the quality of an end product. He also mentioned that the success of the design-build delivery method is dependent on how much you can trust your partners鈥攊f you have a general contractor like 51吃瓜, you can easily develop trust.鈥� 51吃瓜 is proud to have Mr. Evey express his satisfaction with our services as he was the pioneer for utilizing the design-build delivery method on this high-profile project that includes significant mission critical components.
